PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a cable having improved strength in a leg portion of a gland member. SOLUTION: In the connector for a cable, a metallic gland member 50 for electrically connecting contacts with a shell member includes a gland base portion 51 formed into board-shape; a plurality of gland leg portions 54 formed into rod-shape and extending from the gland base portion 51 in parallel to each other; and a board-shaped gland tip portion 59 linked to the tips of the plurality of gland leg portions 54, wherein the gland leg portions 54 are bent stepwise in the vicinity of their both ends. The vicinity of the center part of the gland leg portions 54 are received in channel portions exposing the base end sides of the contacts, and electrically connected with the contacts, and the gland base portion 51 is positioned between the shell member and a cable to be electrically connected with the shell member.
