PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head improved in stability and reliability by suppressing the fluctuation of a floating posture, a head suspension assembly equipped with the head, and a disk device. SOLUTION: The slider 42 of a head 40 is provided with a negative pressure cavity 54 formed in an opposite surface 43 to generate negative pressure, a leading step part 50 disposed to protrude from the opposite surface and positioned on the upstream side of an air flow with respect to the negative pressure cavity, a leading pad 52 disposed to protrude from the leading step part, a recess 70 formed in the leading step part on the upstream side of the air flow with respect to the leading pad, a trailing step part 58 disposed to protrude from the opposite surface and positioned on the downstream side of the air flow with respect to the negative pressure cavity, and a trailing pad 60 disposed to protrude from the trailing step part.
