PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can prevent deterioration in image quality regardless of type of paper. SOLUTION: The fixing device 20 is provided with a separating claw unit 60 separating paper from a fixing roller 41. The separating claw unit 60 contains; a claw member 62 with a tip part 62b separating the paper from the fixing roller 41, a holder member 61 retaining the claw member 62 to be fixed and provided to be movable in a housing 30 of the fixing device 20, a pair of roller members 63 provided in the holder member 61 so as to project in a conveying path L and guiding the paper separated from the fixing roller 41 to downstream side of the transporting path while rotating in contact with the paper, and a pair of twisted coil springs 67 moving the roller members 63 relatively to the holder member 61. Then, the twisted coil springs 67 moves the roller members 63 in a direction in which projection to the conveying path L of the roller members 63 reduces according to a force acting on the roller members 63 from the paper when guiding the paper.
