PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector of a driven body capable of detecting a position of the driven body, without having to additionally provide a dedicated device for detecting the position of the driven body. SOLUTION: A drive device has the driven body 8, electromagnets 11, 12 having coils 11b, 12b respectively wound therearound, an armature 13 which is formed integrally with the driven body and faces the electromagnets, and a drive circuit 16 for driving the driven body, while driving the armature 13 by supplying a drive current IAC to the coils 11b, 12b. The driven body position detector detects the position of the driven body, and includes a voltage detection means 21 for detecting the voltage of the coil 11b, a drive current detection means 22 for detecting the drive current IAC, and position detection means 30, 40, 50 for detecting the position of the body to be driven, on the basis of a detection voltage SV and a detection current SI that are detected.
