摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driver from feeling discomfort, even if a shock is generated along with change in the number of times of pilot injection, in a diesel engine with piezo-injector. SOLUTION: Since a water temperature Tx for mode determination is kept to be low when accelerator opening ACCP = 0% is continued even after warm-up is completed (yes in S206, S208), the number of times of the pilot injection is not changed from twice (a normal mode: S210) to once (an idle mode: S212). The driver does not receive a sudden shock caused by change in mechanical noise and in combustion property, and does not feel discomfort. When an accelerator pedal is depressed and an expression of ACCP>0% is satisfied (no in S202), since the water temperature Tx for mode determination is excessively increased (S204), the number of times of pilot injection can be changed from twice to once at this operation timing. The timing of changing the number of times is timing where the drive consciously operates the accelerator pedal, so that the driver does not feel discomfort even if a shock is generated.
