PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily stop a rotary reel during rotation when a player leaves his/her seat to wash his/her hands or the like while the rotary reel is rotated and to restart the temporarily stopped rotary reel after the player restarts a game, in a slot machine. SOLUTION: A game controller (200) is provided with: a game suspension means (360) for suspending the game by stopping the drive of reel motors (34-36) corresponding to the rotary reels (31-33) during rotation and suspending the rotary reels (31-33) on condition that a leaving-his/her-seat state is detected by a leaving-his/her-seat detection means (110); and a game restarting means (370) for restarting the suspended game by starting the drive of the reel motors (34-36) corresponding to the suspended rotary reels (31-33) and restarting the rotation of the rotary reels (31-33) on condition that a game restart state is detected by a game restart detection means 110.
