PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body movement detector ensuring easy display recognition. SOLUTION: A pedometer 100 is provided with a body movement detecting means for detecting a body movement using an acceleration sensor, and an exercise amount calculation means for calculating the amount of exercise on the basis of the number of body movements, wherein the amount of exercise is at least one of the number of steps calculated on the basis of the number of body movements, a consumed calorie calculated from the number of steps, a walk distance calculated from the number of steps, the amount of burned fat calculated from the number of steps, a walking speed calculated from the number of steps, a walking pitch calculated from the number of steps, exercise intensity calculated from the number of steps, a walking time, the number of steps when walking at prescribed exercise intensity or more, and a walking time when walking at prescribed exercise intensity or more. Further, the pedometer 100 accepts setting of a target value with respect to the amount of exercise.
