A deep-groove ball bearing (1) which includes rolling members made of a ß-Sialon sinter and which is inexpensive and, despite this, can stably ensure sufficient durability. The bearing comprises an outer ring (11), an inner ring (12), and balls (13) which are in contact with the outer ring (11) and inner ring (12) and are disposed on an annular track. The balls (13) are made of a sinter comprising, as the main component, a ß-Sialon represented by the empirical formula Si_6-zAl_zO_zN_8-z and satisfying 0.1=z=3.5 and impurities as the remainder.
