An apparatus and system are disclosed for automatic centrifugal engagement of a pressure plate. The apparatus includes a clutch basket (104), a clutch pack (112) capable of coupling the clutch basket (104) with a center clutch (108), a pressure plate (138) axially moveable toward the clutch pack (112), and a top plate (144) coupled to a rotating hub (128). The rotating hub (128) is configured to pass through an opening in the pressure plate (138). The apparatus also includes at least one centrifugal actuating member (142) disposed between the pressure plate (138) and the top plate (144), and at least one spring (118) disposed between the rotating hub (128) and the center clutch (108) to bias the pressure plate (138) relative to the top plate (144). The system includes the apparatus and a rotating hub lifter (602) coupled with the rotating hub (612).
