PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK SYSTEM, OPTICAL TERMINATING DEVICE, AND OPTICAL NETWORK UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow receiving of IP broadcasting without tightening a band used by a user for Internet communication, in PON method by WDM.

SOLUTION: There are provided a first wavelength 8 which is received commonly by respective ONUs2 from OLT1, and a plurality of second wavelengths 9 and 10 for individual communication between OLT1 and ONUs2. For signal communication in downlink, each of OLTs1 comprises a transmitter for transmitting the first wavelength 8 and a plurality of transmitters for transmitting the second wavelengths 9 used for individual communication with the ONUs2. Each of the ONUs2 comprises a receiver for receiving the first wavelength 8 and a receiver for receiving the second wavelength 9 which is used by own ONU2. The OLT1 transmits the data of IP broadcasting on the first wavelength, and transmits the data of individual ONU on the second wavelength corresponding to ONU.
