<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder for recording a high quality coded data image by reducing variation in line width due to pitch error. <P>SOLUTION: A module is recorded in 4×1+1=5 dots when module width = number of beams ×N+1 when N=1 since the number of beams is four beams by way of an example in a drawing.
