<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of decode errors on error TS packet, even if there is an error TS packet among TS packets received by a digital broadcasting receiver or a video decoder. <P>SOLUTION: When a decode error is generated due to an error TS packet, in the video decoder 4 of the digital broadcast receiver 1, an error-time start code search portion 10 reads a slice start code decoded, prior to the occurrence of the decode error from an ES buffer 5 and detects the next slice start code from the position of the read-out slice start code by reading the video data by byte units; and then, decoding is resumed from the detected slice start code in a VLC decode processing portion 6, a video data decode processing portion 7, and a syntax analysis portion 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
