摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of restraining heat generation due to power loss caused by a control transistor, even if there is a heavy load connected to an AC adapter, and of reducing the cost and the mounting area, and improving the safety. <P>SOLUTION: This charging device 100 includes PchMOS transistors M1, M2 for controlling charging current; a current-detecting resistor Rs, connected to current flow terminals of the PchMOS transistors M1, M2 and detecting the charging current; a switch 130 set in a path for bypassing the current detecting resistor Rs; and a load 300 receiving power supply from a battery 200 without going via the current-detecting resistor Rs, while the switch 130 is on. A current error amplifier 120 amplifies the voltage of the current-detecting resistor Rs detected, and a comparator 160 compares the output voltage of the current error amplifier 120 with a reference voltage and switches on the switch 130 and short-circuits the current detecting resistor Rs, when the current flowing in the battery 200 is a predetermined value or smaller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
