<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which transfers to a sheet an image attached and developed to an intermediate transfer body by heating a thermally-fused developer, and properly generates attaching force of the developer to the transfer body. <P>SOLUTION: An optical scanning unit 20 heats a developer 101 and/or a developer carrier 11 according to an image signal and forms a latent image by a temperature change. The unit has a light source for generating heat energy to heat the developer 101 and/or the developer carrier 11, a temperature sensor 24 for detecting temperature and a signal processor 25 for controlling the heating mode of the developer 101 and/or the developer carrier 11 based on the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
