REACTIVE POWER COMPENSATOR AND SYSTEM VOLTAGE CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an STATCOM compensate only for the voltage variation of short period component resulting from variation in output of wind power generation. SOLUTION: A reset circuit 120 is provided between a voltage detection circuit 110 and a reactive power control circuit 130 and arranged such that the long period component is removed from a system voltage detected by the voltage detection circuit 110 to produce a deviation input to the reactive power control circuit 130. Alternatively, the STATCOM calculates the voltage before compensation, and calculates the running mean value of the voltage before compensation and the running mean value of the voltage before compensation is employed as the target voltage of the reactive power control circuit 130.
