PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce damage produced by the connection or disconnection of a peripheral device in a PnP system. SOLUTION: A host 102 of a multiple peripheral system 100 for disconnecting the peripheral device is connected to peripheral devices 104, 106 and 108 via a communication bus 103. The communication bus includes a logical layer 116 for performing bidirectional processing with the peripheral devices. The above logical layer is disposed adjacent to a logical layer 118 on each peripheral device. Connectors 112, 114 are provided on the junction portion of the above logical layers. By incorporating the logical layer 116 being a physical layer, to the host, and by incorporating the logical layer 118 being a link layer, to the peripheral device, and by disposing each connector therebetween, it is possible to connect or disconnect the peripheral device to the host 102 at an arbitrary time point.
