PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more surely select mutually related contents by decreasing the dependency of a character string associated with content on content. SOLUTION: This related content selection apparatus includes: an SS table generation part 24 for generating and storing an SS table in which at least one character string related to the character string is stored so as to be associated with each of a plurality of character strings; a character string extraction part 23 for acquiring at least one character string related to the content about each of a plurality of contents; and a related content selection part 28 for selecting at least one content associated with given content based on the storage content of the related character string storage means among the plurality of contents from among the plurality of contents according to at least one character string related to each of the plurality of contents acquired by the character string extraction part 23 and at least one character string related to each of the plurality of character strings stored in the SS table generation part 24.
