WATER VAPOR FUEL CELL EMISSIONS

A blower generates an airflow across a condenser used in a fuel cell. A water flow field includes an absorbing device for receiving excess water from the water flow field. The absorbing device is arranged to receive the airflow for producing water vapor and removing the excess water. In one example, the absorbing device is a wick that becomes submersed in an accumulator's water when excess water has collected. The hot airflow from the condenser blows across the wick to evaporate the water and expel it from the fuel cell as vapor.
