A DISPERSION COMPENSATION METHOD AND OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

A dispersion compensation method and optical transmission system is disclosed which relates optical communication. For the purpose to solve the shortcoming of the dispersion compensation technique with long distance and not having DCF in line in the prior art and to restrain the nonlinear effect of the dispersion compensation technique, the said dispersion compensation method includes: the transmitter performs electronic pre-compensation process for the digital signal to be sent, and controls the E/O transform module to output the distorted optical signal, the receiver receives the optical signal, and transforms it into electronic signal, then performs post-compensation process, or performs post-compensation process with the optical signal, then transforms it into electronic signal. The said optical transmission system includes pre-compensation signal process module, optical source, E/O transform module, optical transmission line, O/E transform module and post-compensation process module. The subject matter of the present invention can ameliorate the effect of the nonlinear effect, and provide flexible dispersion compensation solution for the dynamic configurable network.
