A steering device for a vehicle comprises a steering angle feed forward control value setting unit for setting a steering angle depending on a steering state, a vehicle behavior stabilization control unit including a steering angle feedback control value setting unit for setting a steering angle correction value depending on a vehicle behavior, and a feedback gain alteration unit for reducing the gain of the steering angle feedback control value setting unit to a level lower than that during a normal time if a steering angle correction value is not higher than a predetermined value during vehicle behavior stabilization control by the vehicle behavior stabilization control unit.
