APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANAGING OF HISTORY INFORMATION IN A PORTABLE TERMINAL

An apparatus and a method for managing history information in a mobile terminal are provided to enhance the efficiency of using a memory by effectively managing history information of display data displayed on the mobile phone. A mobile terminal is in an idle mode(S201). When a particular event occurs(S203), screen data of the event is outputted and the mobile terminal checks whether there is previous history information about the screen data outputted for the event(S205). If there is history information about the screen data of the event, the mobile terminal deletes the previous history information of the screen data from a memory unit(S207) and stores history information of the screen data together with an identifier of the screen data in the memory unit(S209).
