Antiperspirant stick compositions in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion comprising a dispersed aqueous solution of an astringent antiperspirant salt and a continuous oil phase solidified by a hydrocarbon wax comprising an in termediate molecular weight polyethylene wax, optionally together with a fur ther hydrocarbon wax, exhibit desirable aesthetic properties, including low drag / good glide and low visible deposits at a preferred stick hardness.
