<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for recovering energy in high efficiency and an apparatus for recovering waste heat. <P>SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide or steam is added to dimethyl ether and the resulting dimethyl ether is subjected to a reforming reaction using waste heat to obtain synthesis gas or hydrogen gas. The pressure energy of the obtained synthesis gas or hydrogen gas is converted into mechanical energy or electrical energy. For example, as shown in figure, the gas which is produced by the reforming reaction and the volume of which is expanded, is introduced into an expansion turbine 2 from a reforming reactor 1 and a turbine of the expansion turbine 2 is rotated by the pressure energy of the introduced gas to convert the pressure energy into the mechanical energy to be used for generating electricity. Meanwhile, the synthesis gas or hydrogen gas discharged from the expansion turbine 2, as before, is introduced into a by-product gas line of a blast furnace or a coke plant, stored in a gas holder 5 as fuel energy and used as fuel energy in a power plant or a factory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
