<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform assemble editing by a recording and reproducing device corresponding to a random access storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: For a unit annual growth ring data unit including an addition-write start position set in an editing source file (clip) stored in an optical disk, overwriting of new recording data for an area after the write start position is executed. Sectors other than the sectors in which the data of the editing source file are written are then secured as a writing target area where the subsequent new recording data are written. A header and a footer arranged at the end of the clip are updated and overwritten on the same area before the editing. A file system performs management so that a part from the head of the editing source file to the unit annual growth ring data including the addition-write start position is coupled with the subsequent new recording data and the updated footer and header to form the clip. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
