PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus, wherein a subject is prevented from feeling dazzled by light emitted onto the subject. SOLUTION: A human or animal eye E is detected from image data obtained by imaging a subject. An irradiation condition for light P is changed so as to irradiate the subject other than the eye detected.
