PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide grease excellent in low temperature characteristics and also high temperature characteristics, and showing little amount of evaporation. SOLUTION: This grease contains base oil containing≥50 mass% at least 1 kind of a saturated hydrocarbon compound selected from (A) a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon compound obtained by producing a vinylidene olefin by dimerizing a 2-20Cα-olefin in the presence of a metallocene complex catalyst, dimerizing the vinylidene olefin in the presence of an acid catalyst and further hydrogenating the dimer, and expressed by a specific structural formula and (B) a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon compound obtained by producing the vinylidene olefin by dimerizing the 2-20Cα-olefin in the presence of the metallocene complex catalyst, adding a 4-24Cα-olefin to the vinylidene olefin in the presence of the acid catalyst and further hydrogenating, and expressed by a specific formula, and a thickening agent.
