PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay server suitable for a relay communication system that allows different LAN terminals to share resources with a required party as needed and to operate the resources and has improved expandability and flexibility. SOLUTION: There is the relay server R that can communicate with the relay server R of other LANs via an external server S on a WAN. The relay server R stores the account information of a terminal T in the LAN, relay group information 100 of a group of relay servers R, and shared resource information 120 including the resource and the account of the terminal T sharing the resource. The relay group information 100 includes connection information 108 indicating the connection destination of the terminal T. When the terminal T registered at other relay servers R logs in, the relay server R identifies the relay server R to which the terminal T is registered for inquiry based on the relay group information 100, and decides whether connection should be permitted.
