PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record sound data to be appropriately reproduced. SOLUTION: In this recording controller, image data with high rate output by an image pickup device 2 is temporarily stored in an SDRAM 4. A recording and reproduction circuit 5 reads the image data stored in the SDRAM 4 as image data at a normal rate different from the high rate and records the image data in a recording medium 7 with the sound data obtained by a microphone 8, etc. after the completion of imaging of the image data at high rate for predetermined time by the image pickup device 2.
