The invention relates to a device for switching a sliding panel (1A) from a closed position to an offset closed position and to an open position and conversely, the panel in the closed position being coplanar with the adjacent element(s), said device including at least one rail (4), called panel-stationary rail, for the closed position of the panel (1A) and at least one rail (3) for the circulation of said panel (1A) between the offset closed position and the open position. The device is characterised in that it further comprises at least one additional rail (6) capable of displacement together with the stationary rail (4), the additional rail (6) and the stationary rail (4) on the one hand and at least a portion of the circulation rail (3) on the other hand being mounted so as to be capable of displacement relative to each other between a so-called inactive position of the device, in which the additional rail (6) defines a portion at least of the circulation rail of the mobile element adjacent to said panel (1A), and a so-called active position of the device in which the stationary rail (4) and the circulation rail (3) are provided end to end and define a panel (1A) circulation path, the stationary rail (4) and the additional rail(s) (6) being mounted, for their relative displacement relative to the circulation rail (3), on a mobile holder (7) that can be separated for displacement from said panel (1A) in the device active position. |
