An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method of manufacturing the LCD are provided to prevent light leakage or color shift in a group of R, G and B color filters located in the outmost portion of an LCD panel. An LCD includes a first substrate(110a), a second substrate(120a), a first black matrix(122a), a second black matrix(122b), and color filters(124a,124b). The second substrate is bonded to the first substrate and includes a first area and a second area adjacent to the first area. The first black matrix is formed on the first area of the second substrate. The second black matrix is formed on the second area of the second substrate and has a width different from the first black matrix to reduce the quality of transmitted light. The color filters are formed on the second substrate including the first black matrix and the second black matrix. |
