The servo steering unit (100) for a vehicle has a valve arrangement (23) to control a piston (4a) dividing a working cylinder (4) into two working chambers (4b,4c). The valve arrangement has 3/2 directional valves (6,36) allocated to each working chamber and designed as sliding spools with an open center position. The 3/2 valves are each connected to a hydraulic supply (200) via pressure line (10) connected to a line connection, and via a return line (42) connected to another line connection, and also connected to the working cylinder via connecting line (5,37) connected to a line connection. An independent claim is included for a method for the operating of the proposed servo steering system. |
