<p>An illuminator having a circuit protection unit is provided to protect a user against an electric shock due to leakage current by including an over voltage protection circuit and a leakage current protection circuit inside. An illuminator includes a power supply unit, an earth leakage breaker(3), a ballast(5), a connector(4), and a circuit protection unit(6). The power supply unit includes an R-phase(1) and a T-phase(2) for connecting power and load to the illuminator. The earth leakage breaker cuts off the power when unbalance current of the power due to leakage current exceeds reference current by being connected to the power supply unit. The ballast prevent increase of the current by being connected to a fluorescent lamp(7) in series. The connector connects the earth leakage breaker and the ballast and shields the current. The circuit protection unit is included inside the connector and blocks only the connector of the one illuminator in which over voltage and leakage current are generated among a plurality of illuminators connected in parallel. The circuit protection unit includes an over voltage protection circuit and a leakage current protection circuit.</p> |
