A method for washing and recovering 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid is provided to obtain 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid of high purity and to improve yield. A method for washing 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid comprises the steps of injecting a slurry containing 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid from a slurry supply device(1) to a filter(2) until the pressure of the slurry supply device becomes identical to that of the filter; passing the supplied slurry through a disk-type filter(22) to filter it, discharging a first filtrate to a storage device(3) and filtering a solid part with a filter; injecting water from a solvent heating supply device(4) into the filter to leave it, and filtering the solid part and the filtrate to discharge the filtered second filtrate to the filtrate storage device; and transferring the slurry obtained by the re-injecting water from the solvent heating supply device to the filter to the washed slurry storage device(5) through a slurry discharge line(25).
