<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of uniformly securing toner density over the whole area and the whole length in a toner carrying direction when a toner vertical feeding method effective for miniaturization of a device is adopted. <P>SOLUTION: The cross section of a toner carrying space formed between a screw (developer carrying means) 4 and a feed roller 2 in their longitudinal direction is constituted so as to be larger on the other side which is the downstream side of a toner pushing and feeding direction as compared with one side which is the upstream side, namely the cross-sectional area of a developing room is constituted so as to be gradually increased like a taper shape. To perform the constitution, a capacity variable block B (refer to Fig.3) is simply inserted into the carrying space from the upstream side to the downstream side. Thereby, toner is uniformly applied and carried on the surface of the developing roller 1 and irregular density of toner is improved to perform stable toner circulation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
