<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of a shock or swinging in a vehicle during a stop in a vehicle equipped with an engine and a motor connected to a driving shaft connected to a driving wheel. <P>SOLUTION: When the opening/closing timing of an inlet valve is at the advance angle side of predetermined opening/closing timing, or an EGR to supply exhaust gas to an intake side is performed (S190, S200) during the operation of an engine during a stop, larger torque Tm2 for rotation restriction control than that when the opening/closing timing of the intake valve is predetermined timing or at the delay angle side of the predetermined timing, or when the EGR is not performed is set (S210). Then, the larger the torque Tm2 for rotation restriction control is the larger currents are supplied to the motor to form a fixed magnetic field in the stator of the motor.
