<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner and a developer that are free from isolation of an external additive from the toner surface even when particles of a medium particle diameter and a large diameter are used, that have a preferable fixed state of the external additive without embedding, that can give charging property and fluidity, and that show no change in the pumped amount onto a developing sleeve, and to provide a developing device, a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus capable of producing high-quality images for a long period of time by using the above toner and the developer. <P>SOLUTION: The toner comprises toner particles including at least a binder resin and a colorant, and an external additive added to the surface of the toner particles. The toner contains a plurality of kinds of external additives by mixing a plurality of toner structures each of which is prepared by externally adding one kind of the external additive to the single kind of toner particles, wherein at least one kind of the toner structure is prepared by externally adding the additive in an atmosphere heated to 45 to 350°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
