<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion control method of a grinding brush, which judges quality by efficiently and certainly confirming abnormal abrasion of the grinding brush in grinding work by the grinding brush, and also to provide a circumferential length measuring instrument which precisely and speedily measures circumferential length of the grinding brush in abrasion control of the grinding brush. <P>SOLUTION: A head end part of the grinding brush of a brush grinding device is converged by an inner peripheral wall by sandwiching it by a first measuring member 20 and a second measuring member 21. It is measured that outer peripheral length of the grinding brush 2 at a converged part becomes short since the overlapping dimension of overlapped parts 27, 28 of the first measuring member 20 and the second measuring member 21 becomes large when a brush element wire constituting the grinding brush becomes smaller in diameter than an original diameter by abnormal abrasion. The quality of abrasion of the grinding brush is judged by the outer peripheral length of the grinding brush measured in such a way. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
