<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for a circuit board that achieves improvement in yield in stock layout of a shield plate while excellently maintaining shielding performance. <P>SOLUTION: A shield plate 4 made of a metal plate is attached to a housing 3 so as to cover the outer peripheral face of the housing 3. The shield plate 4 has two circumferentially extending shield members 4A, 4B. One shield member 4A covers a part of the outer peripheral face of the housing 3 while the other shield member 4B covers the remaining part. Each shield member has the side-plate part covering one of a pair of side-wall faces and the end-plate part that is bent at least at one end of the side-plate part so as to cover at least a part of the end-wall face. The end edge of one shield member 4A and that of the other shield member 4B are mounted to the housing so as not to be in contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
