<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an image forming apparatus as a whole while maintaining high image quality, wherein a plurality of sets of chargers, image exposure parts and developing devices are disposed around the surface of an image carrier, and toner images are formed on the image carrier in an overlapped state. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the image forming apparatus wherein the plurality of sets of chargers 2, image exposure parts 3 and developing devices 4 are disposed around the surface of the photoreceptor 1, and configured to repeatedly charge, expose and develop the photoreceptor several times so as to form the toner images in the overlapped state, the developing device 3 includes: a toner conveying member 30 for conveying the toner to a developing area by a traveling-wave electric field generated on the surface thereof; a toner supply means for supplying the toner to the toner conveying means; and a recovering means for recovering the toner that passed through the developing area from above the toner conveying member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
