PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the practical utility of a spiral spring-driven unit such that it uses a restoring force by winding a spiral spring and then releasing the spiral spring. SOLUTION: The spiral spring-driven unit comprises a winding gear 7 for winding the spiral spring 6, a driving gear 8 driven by releasing the wound spiral spring 6, which are independently provided, a winding-side gear train 13 provided between the winding gear 7 and the spiral spring 6, and a driving-side gear train 16 provided between the spiral spring 6 and the driving gear 8. The gear trains 13 and 16 include a first play gear 11 and a second play gear 15, respectively, each of the gears being meshed with each gear train by rotating to one side, and separated from each gear train 13, 16 by rotating to the other side. The rotating direction of the winding gear 7 in winding of the spiral spring 6 is matched with the rotating direction of the driving gear 8 in releasing of the wound spiral spring 6.
