PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range finder constituted of a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: The range finder 1 includes a light shield plate 10 including a plurality of transmission holes equidistantly arranged, an image sensor 20 imaging an image of a detection object A1 from the transmission holes, and a control part 30 calculating an autocorrelation value on the basis of an output signal from the image sensor 20 and calculating the distance from the light shield plate 10 to the detection object A1 on the basis of a distance calculation table in which a peak interval of the autocorrelation value and the distance from the light shield plate 10 to the detection object A1 are associated with each other.
