PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To access protocol control information of a TCPCB or the like for instance in a short time without breaking pipeline processing by a plurality of protocol processing means. SOLUTION: A sub processor A111 or D114 gives an instruction for transferring the protocol control information from a main memory 104 and storing it in a PCB cache memory 121 which can be accessed at a higher speed than the main memory 104 or the like. A sub processor B112 or C113 accesses the protocol control information stored in the PCB cache memory 121 and performs protocol processing.
