PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a laminated ceramic electronic component with excellent productivity in which an external electrode can be formed on four side faces of a sintered body precisely. SOLUTION: While clamping one pair of opposing side faces of a sintered body 1 by means of holding plates, the other pair of side faces are coated with an electrode material by abutting a coating roller and an electrode layer 19 becoming an external electrode is formed by hardening the electrode material. Subsequently, one side faces are coated with an electrode material by abutting a coating roller 26 while clamping the other side faces of the sintered body 1 by means of the holding plates 22, and an electrode layer 19 becoming an external electrode is formed by hardening the electrode material, thus manufacturing a laminated ceramic electronic component having an electrode layer 19 becoming an external electrode on four side faces of the substantially rectangular parallelepiped sintered body 1. A precise external electrode can be formed with outstanding productivity without damaging the electrode layer formed previously on other side face even when a laminated ceramic electronic component having an external electrodes on four side faces of the sintered body is manufactured.
