PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a connector generate a large lock sound without making it large sized. SOLUTION: A lock arm 14 is deflectively installed at the upper face of a female connector housing, and a locking protrusion 24 is protruded and installed at the upper face. A male connector housing has a hood part 4, and a through hole as a locking receiving part 13 is formed in a ceiling wall of the hood part 4. The lock arm 14 becomes inclined upward gradually as it goes backward from the root part and when the lock arm 14 is in a natural state, it has a positional relation overlapped with the ceiling wall of the hood part 4 regarding the height direction. Accordingly, even if a deflection space necessary for downward the lock arm 14 is made the same as conventional, since the maximum deflection amount of the lock arm 14 can be made larger by the share of the overlapping part, an elasticity return speed of the lock arm 14 is quickened, and consequently a hitting face 15 of the lock arm 14 can enlarge a hitting force of the hood part 4 inner face to hit the hitted face 16 and produce a large lock sound.
