PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable photography with a proper quantity of exposure by applying the light emitted from a flush device to a human face or the like far away from a camera. SOLUTION: The flush device for imaging apparatus is provided with a plurality of illuminants 2, and is constituted so as to perform area illumination by means of the plurality of illuminants 2. In front of the plurality of illuminants 2, liquid lenses 3 capable of adjusting the inclinations of optical axes of illumination light emitted from the illuminants 2, light distribution angles or the like are disposed. When a light quantity is insufficient upon the photographing of a person remote from the camera or the like, the illumination light dispersed in the whole area region is applied so as to be concentrated to the human face by the liquid lenses 3, thereby, shortage of the light quantity is compensated.
