PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss due to a current flowing to a row wiring owing to a non-select voltage. SOLUTION: A display device has a scanning driver 2 which applies a select voltage to a plurality of row wirings 65 to 68 in a select period and applies the non-select voltage in a non-select period, and a non-select voltage generator 47 which has the level of the non-select voltage controlled. The non-select voltage generator 47 includes a current detector 471 which detects a current flowing to a row wiring in the non-select period and a non-select potential is controlled according to the detected current. Consequently, the non-select potential is controlled so that the difference between the non-select voltage and a driving voltage applied from a data driver 5 to electron sources 69 to 84 in the non-select period may become 0, thereby reducing a current flowing to an unselected row wiring.
