<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion wall forming device which is either unnecessary for maintenance to remove dust mainly adhered to a counter electrode or significantly reduced in its frequency, and optionally and easily can control the reaching distance of an ion wind in a certain range in the ion wall forming device by ion wind. <P>SOLUTION: The ion wall forming device 1 which rectifies the ion wind generated by corona discharge in air to form an ion wall comprises a corona discharge electrode pair 5 including a discharge electrode 3 and the counter electrode 4 opposing to the discharge electrode 3 with an interval inside a casing 2 having an intake air opening 2a on the top face and a ventilation opening 2b formed on the bottom face for rectifying it to the thickness and the width of the ion wall.
