<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient care system used to administer medical fluids to a patient while monitoring the patient's exhalation with regard to a specified component. <P>SOLUTION: A drug infusion system comprises: a memory 250 for storing a drug library indicating a limit standard for drug infusion and physiological parameters; a user interface 120 designed to receive a drug dispensing parameter entered by a clinician; and a microprocessor 264 for comparing the drug dispensing parameter entered by the clinician with the drug library so as to confirm the drug dispensing parameter entered by the clinician is within a permissible range, and give an alarm or a request for either dosage change or approval before starting the operation of the patient care system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
