<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve not only monochromatic unevenness, but also multicolor unevenness that an image formed by an electrophotography system has. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing unit 60 of an image forming apparatus 1 stores test image data 610 representing a test image including a monochromatic test pattern formed including regions N1 to N5 whose densities belong to a range of low density and a multicolor test pattern having regions N6 to N10 whose densities belong to a range of high density. Then a correction table is generated based upon monochromatic read image data generated by reading the monochromatic test pattern of the test image, multicolor read image data generated by reading the multicolor test pattern, and the stored test image data. Input data are corrected based upon the correction table, and then the monochromatic unevenness and multicolor unevenness of the image formed according to the corrected image data are both improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
