摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of reducing the generation of interference pattern and color variation in the case where the input image information is converted into output image information in which the number of gradations per pixel of both the color components is smaller than the number of gradations per pixel of the input image information.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 10 has a converting section 12 for converting the input image information containing first and second color components into the output image information in which the number of gradations per pixel in the input image information of both the color components is smaller than the number of gradations per pixel in the input image information and the gradation of the input image information of both the color components is expressed by the gradation value of each of pixels and density of dots, the output image information in which the size of each dot is different in the first and second color components.
